The drag factor will be permanently displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the monitor. Use the CHANGE UNITS button to choose the units you want to see your ‘pace’ displayed in. As soon as your monitor shows the words ‘Stop, prepare for start’, you must place the handle in the handle hook. There will be a short pause in which the system waits till all flywheels have stopped turning.
The start procedure will consist of three steps: - Sit ready: pick up your handle - Attention: start will follow shortly - ROW: you will also hear a sound
If you start before the word ROW is displayed, you make a false start. A rower who makes two false starts, will be disqualified. There will be no television screens anymore on which the race is shown. The PM3-monitor will give you all necessary the race information. The first line tells you how many meters the leader is in front of you. The second line shows the person immediately in front of you with the number of metres they are in front. The last (fourth) line shows the person immediately behind you with the number of metres they are behind you. This information isn’t necessarily correct. When your machine loses contact with the race software, you can keep on rowing. The top part of the screen will continue to give the right information.
